Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product management.

Job Overview

The Product Management Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in development and analysis of strategic product roadmaps, product enhancement and development, product launches, and product marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as review surveys and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers
  • Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to new team members
  • Oversee client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and assist product managers in addressing fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
  • Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
  • Implement team procedures, client problem resolution, and client management
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Configure and evaluate parameters for implementing risk policies and marketing strategies related to customer offer servicing.
  • Provide consultation on risk strategy implementation and develop automated solutions to streamline strategy execution. Design and implement solutions that address and fulfill business requirements.
  • Execute special projects to drive partner sales and revenue growth. Contribute to and create project documentation to support related activities, including business requirements, project plans, decision logs, evaluation reports, process maps, and training or reference materials.
  • Support internal and external audits and walk-throughs as required. Ensure understanding and adherence to the regulatory requirements for the related activities.
  • Understand critical data processes and technology components within the defined processes; identifying critical gaps and/or opportunities. Provide conversion and data mapping support. Develop trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners
  • Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes
  • Role at this level usually has full ownership of processes, reports, and/or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function processes or project deliverables
  • Required to supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees

Recommended Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • 7+ years of experience with design and development for Java/J2EE Client/Server applications.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Rule engines like Drools/JBoss BRMS.
  • 4+ years with relational databases and JDBC/SQL expertise.
  • 4+ years of experience with Hibernate and Spring
  • Strong UNIX or Linux knowledge with scripting expertise
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and communicate effectively with clients, management and other departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency
  • Working experience in Financial/Credit Card Industry.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree. Master’s degree preferred
