Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Reston, VA is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and maintaining the Produce floor to WFM standards. You will help with deliveries, front-facing displays, and delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires physical ability to lift 50 pounds, flexibility for nights/weekends/holidays, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive to work station on time, prepared and ready to work; attend required trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly and courteously.
• Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, shelving, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintain equipment per standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing/signs accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
