Job summary

PAQ, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Produce 3rd to support operations in our Rancho Cordova, CA location. You will supervise Produce Clerks, manage stocking, pricing, and product rotation, and ensure freshness and high standards of quality and service for customers.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and teamwork in a dynamic retail environment. Strong knowledge of inventory, sanitation, and safety regulations is required, with weekend availability expected.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of produce products and department operations.
• Familiarity with retail stocking procedures and inventory management.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and training skills.
• Excellent customer service.
• Proficient in inventory management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Over five years of Produce experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving products, pricing, and stocking procedures to ensure accuracy, product quality, and proper rotation.
• Supervise and train Produce Clerks and Produce 4th; ensure refrigerated cases and display shelves are stocked and faced.
• Ensure products are trimmed and presented with tare allowances; monitor freshness and quality.
• Follow department sanitation procedures and log maintenance and cleanliness.
• Perform Produce Clerk and Produce 4th or other duties as assigned.
