Job summary

PAQ, Inc. is seeking a Produce 2nd to assist the Produce Manager in supervising the department and leading staff in daily operations. The role emphasizes inventory control, vendor coordination, and ensuring top-quality, fresh produce for customers.

You will train and supervise the Produce team, handle ordering, and monitor deadlines and merchandising plans to maximize sales while keeping shrinkage low. The position requires strong leadership and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Over five years of Produce experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce team in managing and supervising the department, including scheduling, training, ordering, overseeing sweep logs, and all administrative and operational tasks.
• Supervise and train the Produce team.
• Verify produce vendor invoices, checking for product quality and quantity accuracy.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory to ensure freshness and minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure damaged products are accounted for and disposed of.
• Carry out merchandising plans to maximize profitability and meet customer demands.
• Follow procedures for receiving, pricing, and restocking to ensure quality and display accuracy.
• Ensure products are trimmed and presented attractively with tare allowances.
• Conduct regular inspections for freshness and visual appeal.
