Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Los Altos, CA seeks a Produce Team Member to support receiving, stocking, and retailing Produce per WFM standards. You’ll help maintain attractive displays, assist with deliveries, and deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and team members.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. No prior retail experience required; training provided to learn product knowledge and procedures.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of produce products.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fresh, appealing displays by front-facing and stocking shelves.
• Assist in organizing seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep worksheets.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and effective suggestive selling.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
