Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Asheville, NC is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving, stocking, and merchandising, while upholding WFM standards. You’ll help maintain clean displays, assist with seasonal items, and deliver friendly customer service.

This entry-level role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed. No prior retail experience required. Wage range: $17.00–$25.40 hourly.

Qualifications

• Empathy and courtesy in customer interactions.
• Willingness to learn about all products in the department.
• Understanding of organic vs conventional produce is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in display and pricing.
• Clear, respectful communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage time and multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean, front-face products, rotate stock and check codes.
• Assist with organizing and displaying seasonal items and volume.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to relevant teams.
• Complete required worksheets for spoilage, temperature and audits.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling when appropriate.
• Store products safely, follow health and sanitation procedures.
