Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Team Member for the Produce department in Reno. This role focuses on processing and merchandising, while delivering courteous, friendly service to customers and team members, and upholding store SOPs.

You will cut fruits and vegetables, maintain quality, manage sampling, and help with stocking and pricing. No prior retail experience is required, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables, following all safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Cleans department continuously and maintains sweep logs.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows established procedures including health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; maintains equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
