Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of Produce Management experience in retail grocery or supermarket.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Knowledge of fresh produce, seasonal pricing, handling practices, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication, organization, merchandising, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Produce Department with focus on workflow and product presentation.
• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise department associates to maintain a high-performing team.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, orders, and shrink while meeting customer demand.
• Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
• Ensure produce meets quality standards, freshness expectations, and merchandising guidelines.
• Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory to identify opportunities for growth and improvements.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through a clean, well-stocked shopping environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
