Responsibilities

• Engage team to deliver excellent shopping and checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach other team members to exceed sales goals and complete trainings.
• Support training new team members / cross-training talent.
• Assist in department scheduling to boost engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure freshness of products and proper rotation.
• Guide team on food safety standards and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and product displays where applicable.
• Promote Meijer culture including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories.
• May act as Lead in other departments.
