Job summary

Eataly in Boston seeks a Produce Sales Lead to stock and display fresh produce while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will rotate, trim, wash, and ensure quality and freshness; report to the Fresh Market Manager. Also responsible for receiving deliveries, conducting daily inventory, and maintaining organized back stock.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a grocery setting preferred.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate and face fresh produce to ensure quality.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle inquiries and requests.
• Receive deliveries and verify invoices for accuracy and freshness.
• Conduct daily inventory and ordering based on sales and seasonality.
• Maintain FIFO and organize back stock and storage areas.
• Communicate needs and issues to the Market Manager promptly.

Job Description

A Produce Sales Lead is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Receives product deliveries, ensures order is completedand invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to ensure freshness and quality
• Conducts Daily Inventory and Daily Ordering based on Sales andSeasonality.
• Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards
• Organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards
• Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales
• Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Hourly Rate: $22-$24.00

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in a grocery setting preferred
• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to effectively multitask and organize workflow
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Requirements

• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds in weight
• Ability to use hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder, label maker and cleaning supplies
