Job summary

Eataly in Boston is seeking a Produce Sales Lead to stock and present fresh produce while delivering exceptional customer service. You will rotate, trim, wash, and face products, ensure FIFO, and maintain back stock and clean, safe work areas.

The role reports to the Fresh Market Manager and involves daily inventory, ordering based on sales and seasonality, and strong teamwork. Hourly pay ranges from $22 to $24, with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotates and faces fresh produce according to department procedure to ensure quality and freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Receive product deliveries, ensure order accuracy and note discrepancies.
• Conduct Daily Inventory and Daily Ordering based on Sales and Seasonality.
• Ensure floor sets, signage and visual presentation are faced and merchandised attractively.
• Rotate items by FIFO standards.
• Organize and maintain back stock and warehouse storage.
• Communicate fresh produce needs and changes to Market Manager promptly.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Role Overview

A Produce Sales Lead is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Receives product deliveries, ensures order is completed and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to ensure freshness and quality
• Conducts Daily Inventory and Daily Ordering based on Sales and Seasonality
• Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards
• Organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards
• Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales
• Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Hourly Rate: $22-$24.00
