Job summary

Eataly North America in Boston is seeking a Produce Sales Lead to stock, display, and rotate fresh produce while delivering outstanding customer service. You will report to the Fresh Market Manager and help maintain quality and freshness.

Key duties include daily inventory and ordering, FIFO rotation, back stock organization, and communicating needs to management. The role offers an hourly rate of $22–$24 and opportunities to participate in product education and customer events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a grocery setting preferred.
• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to multitask and organize workflow.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate and face fresh produce per department procedures to ensure quality and freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and handling inquiries.
• Receive product deliveries, verify orders and note discrepancies per procedures.
• Conduct daily inventory and ordering based on sales and seasonality.
• Ensure floor sets and signage are merchandised attractively and rotated FIFO.
• Organize back stock and warehouse storage per standards.
• Communicate fresh produce needs to the Market Manager promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in line with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

A Produce Sales Lead is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Receives product deliveries, ensures order is completedand invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to ensure freshness and quality
• Conducts Daily Inventory and Daily Ordering based on Sales andSeasonality.
• Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards
• Organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards
• Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales
• Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Hourly Rate: $22-$24.00

Job Requirements

• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds in weight
• Ability to use hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder, label maker and cleaning supplies
