PRODUCE/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

- 18 years of age
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Current food handler's permit upon employment

Key responsibilities include:
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, safety, and food safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Communicate company, department, and job-specific information effectively.
- Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed them through collaboration and teamwork.
- Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
- Train and develop associates on inventory, stocking, CAO, Key Retailing, and other tasks.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and recommending products.
- Offer product samples and inform customers of specials.
- Review and inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Use Fresh Insights to ensure proper sell-through and reduce shrinkage.
- Recommend produce items to customers based on their needs.
- Develop and implement a business plan for the department.
- Work in refrigerated areas for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Implement merchandising and promotional plans.
- Keep associates updated on current ads and promotions.
- Monitor and control departmental expenses.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and note discrepancies.
- Ensure price integrity, including shelf tags and signs.
- Assist with inventory processes.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
- Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and participate in safety programs.
- Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs.
- Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
