Job summary

The Fresh Market is hiring a Produce & Floral Specialist to lead freshness, merchandising, and safety standards across the produce, floral and gift center departments. You will own inventory accuracy, rotation, and presentation while supporting guest engagement and seasonal promotions.

This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and 2+ years in retail or grocery. A high school diploma is preferred, with a passion for hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all produce, floral & gift center products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of produce, floral & gift center items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
