Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to lead and direct others.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Produce Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles and values
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Offer solutions using product knowledge to meet customer expectations
• Control store expenses through ordering, caring for supplies and equipment
• Use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling and inventory systems
• Ensure department appearance, quality, safety and sanitation standards
• Write schedules to provide extraordinary customer service at all times
• Understand scheduling, sales, wage percents and hiring/training processes
