Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Good understanding of store operations preferred
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Ability to lead and direct others
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements; accreditation as Food Safety Manager or training to achieve it within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Manage the Produce Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise performance and conduct timely performance appraisals
• Day-to-day management of labor and coaching for productivity
• Provide leadership aligned with guiding principles and strategy
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain a positive customer service culture and a safe shopping environment
• Ensure department cleanliness, appearance, and compliance with policies and regulations
• Schedule and manage ordering, receiving, and merchandising within guidelines
• Monitor shrink and loss prevention; use company tools and reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
