Price Rite of Bridgeport is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help maximize department sales, maintain store conditions, and ensure top-notch customer service in our Produce area.

The role reports to the Produce Manager and Store Manager, requires strong leadership, basic math, and the ability to train a team; benefits include paid time off, insurance options, and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience is not required but a minimum education level is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus basic math skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maximize department sales and protect company assets.
• Maintain store conditions per standards and ensure proper presentation.
• Train and supervise 10–15 subordinates; direct work and responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Open/close the store as required and engage with the local community.
