Job summary

Price Rite in Wethersfield, CT is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support the Produce department, drive sales, and maintain store conditions.

You will supervise 10–15 staff, participate in scheduling, training, and adherence to safety standards, with a focus on customer service and value.

Compensation includes hourly pay from $18 to $26, benefits and opportunities for career growth; reports to Produce/Store Manager.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 1–2 years related experience as required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and speak before groups of customers or staff.
• Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and basic algebra.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and move objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage 10–15 subordinates; train, direct, and evaluate staff.
• Maintain store conditions to improve profitability and presentation.
• Maximize department sales and gross profits.
• Develop a team concept to improve morale and communications.
• Open or close the store as applicable; ensure safety and compliance.
