Job summary

ShopRite of Northvale is seeking a Produce Manager to lead the department, supervise associates, and drive sales, customer experience, and safety in the Produce area, aligning with our purpose and service priorities.

You will direct daily operations, manage staffing, enforce food safety standards, train new hires, handle inventory, and collaborate with the General Store Manager to meet department goals and maintain high product quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills for everyday store tasks.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to handle fresh, dried, and processed products safely.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Produce Department.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals for sales and service.
• Maintain safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Train new hires and provide feedback on performance.
• Monitor pricing, display, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with Store Manager to meet objectives.
