Job summary

Jimbo’s is seeking a Produce Department Supervisor in San Diego, CA to ensure daily operations run smoothly, lead the Produce staff, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. You will oversee customer service, rotate stock, and coordinate with the Produce Manager on staffing and displays.

The role requires strong leadership, communication and time management skills, plus knowledge of health regulations and food safety.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of Produce Department operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong time management and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel/transfer to other stores.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Produce Clerk duties and supervise the Produce staff.
• Assist customers according to Customer Service Standards.
• Represent Jimbo’s when the Produce Manager is absent.
• Enforce store/department policies and monitor overtime.
• Train new employees and document performance.
• Assist with department development and succession training.
• Create daily task lists and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain product quality through proper rotation and signage.
