Job summary

The Kroger Pick ’N Save in Wisconsin is seeking a Produce Department leader to direct and supervise all functions and activities, ensuring safe, fresh goods and outstanding customer service. You will manage scheduling, train associates, monitor quality, implement promotions, control costs, and uphold safety standards while delivering a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, safety and food safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates.
• Establish performance goals for department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through collaboration and teamwork.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation.
• Help to train and develop associates on performance of their job including inventory, stocking, CAO, Key Retailing and other aspects of job.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions and recommending products sold within the department and throughout the store.
