Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused team member to support department goals and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist customers, promote brand products, and help with produce prep and inventory while upholding core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

The role emphasizes knowledgeable product assistance, adherence to safety standards, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced retail setting in Oregon.

Qualificações

• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsabilidades

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and helped by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions.
• Assist with the preparation produce platters/trays.
• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Recommend items to customers to ensure they get what they want and need.
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are kept.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Notify management of any accidents involving customers or employees.
• Report all safety risks or illegal activity to store management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a calm, nonconfrontational way.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
