Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver outstanding service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals and uphold quality standards while embodying our Customer 1st strategy.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting brands, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring accurate merchandising and safety practices across the department and store.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills including counting, adding and subtracting.
• Current food handler permit required upon employment.

• Create an inviting environment by answering questions about products in the department and store
• Gain knowledge of department products and make recommendations
• Assist with produce prep and display

• Maintain product quality, packaging, labeling and inventory
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Ensure safety programs and temperature logs are followed
• Report safety risks or issues to store management
• Support safe, clean and welcoming store environment
