Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills in customer interactions.

• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions and assist customers with products in department and store.
• Maintain knowledge of department products and provide suggestions.
• Assist with produce prep and display.
• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Recommend items to customers to meet their needs.
• Prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Label, stock and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay aware of ads and promotions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; track logs.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repair needs.
• Notify management of accidents and incidents.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity to management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to customers including minors, people with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
