Job summary

Kroger, including Fred Meyer, is hiring for a part-time front-end/department associate in Oregon. You will deliver outstanding customer service, maintain a clean environment, and assist the department manager in meeting sales goals while following safety and quality standards.

You will engage with customers, know product locations, promote brands, and help with produce prep and inventory. We seek friendly, reliable teammates who value respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills required.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions regarding products and assist customers to find items.
• Inform customers of produce specials and respond to product inquiries.
• Maintain produce platters/trays and ensure quality and freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Ensure safety procedures and proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Support department in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
