Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service to customers. You’ll rotate products, check deliveries, and assist shoppers with their needs, contributing to a smooth, engaging shopping experience.

Strong communication and basic math skills help you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Training is provided to ensure success in this hourly role.

Qualifications

• You don’t need extensive experience; training provided.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
• Apply basic math: addition, subtraction, counting, recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
• Learn and apply sanitation, food safety, and department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and assist their needs.
• Review merchandise freshness and rotate stock as needed.
• Maintain adequate product supply and daily production planning.
• Check in product, stock shelves, and review invoices.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as required.
• Keep work area clean, sanitary, and safe at all times.
• Remove trash and assist with department upkeep.
• Order products and price for customers when needed.
• Answer phone and provide helpful service.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines.
