Job summary

Hy-Vee Produce Clerk is responsible for keeping the Produce department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service to customers. You will rotate stock, check in deliveries, and assist customers to find what they need in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Training is provided; flexibility to handle varied tasks and maintain sanitation standards is required. This role is based in the Produce department and requires active, on-site work in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Review merchandise freshness and rotate stock.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products.
• Check in product and review invoices as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the work area.
• Assist with general department upkeep.
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers.
• Answer phone and provide helpful service.
