Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department clean, stocked, and organized while assisting customers with selections. You will maintain pricing accuracy and help ensure safe handling of products.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to health guidelines in a fast-paced grocery setting. Flexible hours and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Floral department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of produce department, floral area, storage area, and work area for safety; includes cleaning shelves and floors and removing hazards.
• Stocks produce/floral department; rotates products, faces items, and ensures tag and pricing accuracy.
• Responds to customer inquiries, assists with purchases, information and product selection.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Monitors POS signs and promotional materials; supports cross-selling of items.
• Operates equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Participates in pre-inventory preparation and back stock management.
