Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked and clean while assisting customers with purchases and product selection. The role requires attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and flexibility across varied shift hours.

You will handle receiving, inspecting, and logging stock, and support the cut fruit/vegetable program. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and some grocery retail experience; familiarity with natural foods is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the produce department clean and stocked during business hours.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment quality and temperature.
• Rotates stock, ensures pricing accuracy and shelf presentation.
• Supports cut fruit/vegetable program and departmental profitability.
• Adheres to health, safety, and department guidelines.
