Primary Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out customers politely
• Maintain standards for perishables, ensure safety procedures are followed, and monitor temperature and expiration dates
• Organize and display products effectively, rotate stock, and set up displays according to season and demand
• Prepare the backroom for merchandise receipt, verify deliveries, and store products properly
• Adjust pricing, update PLU files, and supervise labeling of products without UPCs
• Manage damaged or unsalable products, process returns, and mark down prices as needed

Supervision

Reports directly to the Produce Department Manager

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with produce in a grocery setting preferred

Physical Tasks

• Lift, twist, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain signage and pricing
• Care for signs, banners, and debris

Work Environment

Indoor setting with transitions between heat, cold, humidity, and dust from various store areas.
