Summary

The Produce Clerk is primarily responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They will perform all produce processing, sanitation, safety, and stocking procedures for all fresh produce, including fruits, wet vegetables, and dry vegetables, as outlined by the company and directed by the Produce Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests promptly upon entry to the department.
• Attend to guest needs attentively and assist in locating items.
• Monitor guest flow and adapt to changing priorities quickly.
• Follow daily work schedules as assigned.
• Handle produce in accordance with company guidelines to ensure safety, convenience, and value for guests.
• Prevent shrinkage, damage, and spoilage to maintain product freshness and quality.
• Assist with building produce displays and ensure proper pricing and signage.
• Perform duties such as stocking, wrapping, and cleaning as directed.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.

Key Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, squat, climb, and walk.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and reach heights of 4 feet regularly.
• Ability to read, write, and complete company forms.
• Work in controlled temperatures of approximately 60 degrees for up to 8-10 hours.
