Produce Clerk (Administrative)

Come join our Uncle Giuseppe's family as a PT Produce Clerk at our Port Washington store! If you love our food, you will love our produce! In this role, you will collaborate with a team to deliver the finest produce presentation for our customers. All of our produce is fresh and must be handled, prepared, and merchandised properly to deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction in our store.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for stocking the Produce Department, including presentation of product, facing, filling, and organizing product items.
2. The Produce Clerk will also be responsible for the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Produce Department, including trimming, watering, and merchandising of products to ensure fresh, high-quality offerings.
3. Ensure proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability.
4. Answer questions from customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
5. Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Strong communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and communicate in English.
• Adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations.
