Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace is hiring a Produce Associate for our Bloomfield Hills location. You will help with proper handling, stocking, and displaying produce while ensuring top-notch customer service and accurate product knowledge.

Responsibilities include rotating stock, assisting customers, and maintaining department standards. This position emphasizes safety, proper equipment use, and teamwork to deliver quality produce to shoppers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Some weekend availability required.
• Able to work with all products/food in the department.
• Able to use knives, box cutters, balers (18+) as needed.
• Stand and/or walk for 8+ hours.
• Lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently.
• Bend, reach and grasp.

Responsibilities

• Handle, stock, prepare and display all necessary products.
• Rotate and merchandise produce per company guidelines.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Assist customers in locating products using store layout knowledge.
• Understand quality standards, prices, varieties and preparation methods for department products.
• Handle damaged/spoiled product per guidelines and help control spoilage.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and follow grooming standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for a Produce Associate for our Bloomfield location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly handle, stock, prepare and display all necessary products.
• Properly rotate and merchandise produce items per company guidelines.
• Greet all customers and provide them prompt, courteous and excellent service and/or assistance.
• Knowledge of store lay out in order to assist customers in locating products.
• Understanding and knowledge of the quality standards, prices, varieties, preparation methods, etc. of the various products/food products that are available in the department.
• Handle any damaged and/or spoiled product according to Company and department guidelines and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe Company grooming and dress standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have some weekend availability.
• Must be able to work with all products/ food products available within the department.
• Must be able to use knives, box cutters, balers*, etc. as needed in the department. (*Must be at least 18 years old to use balers).
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more-hour periods.
• Must be able to regularly bend, lift and/or move 25 pounds.
• Must be able to frequently bend, lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach and grasp.
