Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Bloomfield Hills is seeking a Produce Prep Associate for our Bloomfield location. The role focuses on washing, cutting, labeling, weighing, and displaying produce according to store procedures.

Candidates should be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends, stand for long periods in a 45–50° environment, and follow safety and sanitation guidelines. Benefits include employee discount and 401K match.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours in a cold environment.
• Experience using knives, slicers and box cutters is a plus (18+).
• Ability to count, weigh and separate varieties of products.

Responsibilities

• Observe company policies and store rules.
• Wash, cut, label, weigh and price produce selections.
• Maintain neat appearance and observe grooming standards.
• Work scheduled shifts with punctuality.
• Operate equipment per safety guidelines.
• Stocking and other duties as assigned by management.
• Understand product quality standards and pricing.
• Handle damaged or spoiled products per guidelines.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies.
• Notify management of safety or equipment issues.
• Training associates when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
