Position Summary

Sam’s Club members choose our fruits & vegetables for quality and freshness at low cost. As part of the produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front‑lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and helps enhance the member’s shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Team Member: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and educate other associates. Provide exceptional customer service, greet and thank members, and be flexible to the needs of the business.
• Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to produce quality, prepare products (trim, crisp, package, scale) to standards, and maintain product safety following sanitation guidelines.
• Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, using handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production and product quality.
• Owner: Drive performance of the area using inventory techniques, ensure quality and date control standards, eliminate waste, and guide peers while attending to customer needs.
• Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club, model high quality service, execute basics at high quality level, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
