Hy‑Vee, Inc. is seeking a Produce Clerk in the Produce department. The role focuses on keeping the department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service to customers.

You will rotate and replenish products, check deliveries, and assist customers in finding items. The position emphasizes activity, teamwork, and adherence to sanitation standards in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Less than a high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; we'll provide all the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile, assisting them with their needs, and going the extra mile to make their shopping experience a great one
• Review the status and appearance of merchandise for freshness and replenish and rotate product to maintain quality standards
• Ensure an adequate product supply is ready and on hand; develop or follow a production list and anticipate daily product needs for the department
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product as necessary
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times
• Remove trash in a timely manner and assist with general department upkeep
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers as needed
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up
