Job summary

Gables Search Group in Minnesota seeks a Procurement Leader to oversee all aspects of sourcing, negotiate with manufacturers, hire and train staff, and drive profitability through vendor programs. This role entails leading the procurement team and aligning with senior management on strategic initiatives.

The position requires 6-7+ years in procurement with supervisory experience and a Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-7+ years in procurement or related area with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff including staffing, training, coaching, performance management.
• Manage inventory levels and negotiate with vendors for best price and program.
• Interact with customers and vendors; respond to inquiries and maintain fill-rate service levels.
• Establish procedures to increase purchasing department efficiency.
• Improve purchasing strategies and knowledge of the food distribution industry.
• May oversee marketing/merchandising functions.
