Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the purchasing department.
• Implement purchasing strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
• Perform all purchasing tasks; including forward planning; tendering; negotiation; preparation of contracts; and performance analysis.
• Manage supplier relationships and maintain a supplier database.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Monitor market trends and make recommendations based on these trends.
• Train and mentor team members; and maintain a positive and professional work environment.
