Job summary

The Simplot Company in Pasco, WA is seeking a Procurement Associate to manage vendor selection, purchase transactions, and vendor quality issues, with coverage for the Pasco Plant as needed.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED, with an associates degree preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office is expected, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred in business management or office management.
• 2+ years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all proper vendor selection, sourcing, accurate and prompt transaction processing as well as problem resolution.
• Responsible for all aspects of the purchase transaction including conversion of requisitions to PO, expediting of critical purchases, managing approved vendor lists and ensuring pricing accuracy.
• Monitors key supplier performance metrics.
• Provides support for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding use of ERP systems and procurement work flows to expedite purchasing of goods and services.
• Invoice reconciliation.
• Resolves transactional vendor quality complaints.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Provide basic edits and communications for coverage of the Pasco Production Scheduler.
• Other tasks as assigned by plant management.
