Job summary

The Simplot Company seeks a Procurement Associate to manage the full purchase lifecycle, from vendor selection to processing, expediting and resolving issues across procurement activities.

You will support vendor quality, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with internal stakeholders using ERP systems. Coverage for the Pasco Plant scheduling may be included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in business management or office management preferred.
• 2+ years related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection and sourcing; ensure accurate and prompt transaction processing.
• Convert requisitions to PO; expedite critical purchases and manage approved vendor lists.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (pricing, delivery, quality).
• Provide ERP system and procurement workflow support to internal stakeholders.
• Perform invoice reconciliation and resolve vendor quality complaints.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist Pasco Production Scheduler coverage.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by plant management.

The Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Summary

The Procurement Associate will deliver on all aspects of the purchase transaction including proper vendor selection, sourcing accurate and prompt transaction processing as well as problem resolution for select procurement activities. He/She will also resolve transactional vendor quality complaints and measures key supplier performance metrics around pricing, delivery and quality. This position will provide coverage for the Pasco Production Scheduler as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all proper vendor selection, sourcing, accurate and prompt transaction processing as well as problem resolution.
• Responsible for all aspects of the purchase transaction including conversion of requisitions to PO, expediting of critical purchases, managing approved vendor lists and ensuring pricing accuracy.
• Monitors key supplier performance metrics
• Provides support for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding use of ERP systems and procurement work flows to expedite purchasing of goods and services.
• Invoice reconciliation
• Resolves transactional vendor quality complaints.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Provide basic edits and communications for coverage of the Pasco Production Scheduler.
• Other tasks as assigned by plant management.

Typical Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Associates degree preferred in business management or office management.

Relevant Experience

• 2+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

• Good knowledge of computer systems.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Purchasing, Planning, Inventory &/or Warehousing

Wage range or rate of pay: $27/hr - $29/hr, plus annual incentive plan eligibility
