Job summary

PYP in California is seeking a procurement professional to support the Procurement team with vendor and data-management duties. You will update product/vendor data, review vendor acknowledgments, and help ensure timely material availability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience; college coursework or automotive background is a plus. Strong MS Word/Excel skills and solid communication are important.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Update and maintain product/vendor data in internal systems with dates, notes, and work order status.
Review vendor order acknowledgments for accuracy of information and delivery timelines.
Provide PO numbers to confirm order placements with vendors.
Maintain vendor scorecards reflecting customer satisfaction.
Reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
Coordinate with Procurement and other departments to meet receiving and put-away goals.
Organize and schedule meetings to improve procurement efficiency.
Assist in preparing and auditing RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Generate reports on Supplier Performance, Spending by Commodity, and Cost Savings.
May manage general services including office supplies and equipment maintenance.
Assume other duties as assigned.
