States Manufacturing in Minnesota seeks a Purchasing Coordinator to manage procurement for assigned commodities. You will process purchase orders, review supplier acknowledgments, and ensure transactions align with policy while collaborating with internal teams.

The role emphasizes ERP accuracy, supplier performance, and cost containment. Ideal candidates have a business degree and 3–4 years in sourcing, procurement, or purchasing, with strong Excel and negotiation skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business and/or 3 to 4 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or purchasing
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet, with a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of ERP systems, Epicor a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional business acumen and negotiation skills
• Self-directed; ability to work independently
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate purchase orders to meet production schedules, considering inventory parameters and lead times
• Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper entry into ERP and policies
• Ensure efficiency of processes for outside service suppliers including lead times, freight, and documentation
• Maintain ERP parameters to meet inventory strategies and forecast supplier demand
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and trace delays
• Communicate delays in material receipts and plan resolutions
• Address discrepancies with quantity, quality, and on-time delivery with suppliers
• Participate in supplier selection, transitions, performance measures, and relationship improvements
• Maintain vendor master data to ensure accurate supplier setup
• Complete KPIs like cost containment, supplier on-time delivery, and inventory turns
• Analyze ERP buy actions, reschedules, and late-pipeline reports to generate POs
