Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Materials Planner to coordinate demand planning, material lead times, and dock operations at our Texas facility. You will liaise with the fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the site to meet delivery commitments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. SAP delivery orders knowledge is essential for this position.

Qualifications

Job description

• Liaise between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DSV fulfillment site
• Ensure demand planning commitments meet agreed product lead times
• Resolve material delivery delays
• Manage delivery-order lead times and report issues
• Expedite SAP delivery orders with internal and external partners
• Review customer build/ship plans against delivery commitments
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and develop project plans and proposals
• Manage dock operations, safety procedures, training documentation, and material disposition tracking
• Manage dock leads during business hours
• Serve as backup for the build supervisor and learn department systems, spreadsheets, and processes
• Assist with new-building startups, including safety compliance, area setup, customer-team coordination, construction coordination, and deliveries
• Prepare data for manager meetings and present it concisely
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material planning with warehouse personnel
• Coordinate direct deliveries and drop trailers
• Manage material-movement work tickets and re-inventory processes
• Assist with onboarding and training new material planners
• Improve training documentation
• Assist with payroll/HR issues and interviews
• Administer on-the-job training sessions and develop training opportunities
