Job summary

Jobtailor in Warrendale, PA seeks a seasoned supply chain professional to own and execute short- and mid-range supply plans tied to production schedules, demand, and inventory objectives. You will analyze MRP outputs, forecasts, and supplier performance to decide quantities, timing, and actions.

The role requires five years of experience in supply planning with strong SAP MM/WM knowledge and a track record in risk mitigation, purchasing, and material allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in supply planning, material planning, purchasing, production planning, inventory control, or a comparable supply chain function.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, including MM and WM modules.
  • Experience supporting an SAP implementation, enhancement, or process improvement is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MRP, purchasing, production planning, inventory management, material allocation, and distribution principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, assess trade-offs, solve problems, and make sound decisions with limited direction.
  • Proven ability to identify supply risks, develop mitigation plans, manage competing priorities, and communicate recommendations to leadership.
  • Must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer and maintain that authorization without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute short- and mid-range supply plans aligned with production schedules, customer demand, material availability, capacity constraints, service targets, and inventory objectives.
  • Analyze MRP outputs, forecasts, inventory positions, lead times, safety stock parameters, open orders, and supplier performance to determine order quantities, timing, priorities, and corrective actions.
  • Make procurement and material allocation decisions for assigned categories.
  • Serve as the primary supply chain liaison for assigned production units and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier delivery, responsiveness, quality, and capacity performance; lead issue resolution and recovery plans.
  • Identify supply, supplier, capacity, quality, and inventory risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Optimize inventory investment through safety stocks, order policies, inventory positioning, and management of excess or obsolete materials.
  • Maintain material master data, inventory balances, purchase requisitions, purchase order changes, and planning transactions in SAP, including MM and WM activities.
  • Coordinate material quality issues, regulatory revisions, new-part introductions, phase-ins, phase-outs, and obsolete-material disposition under Document Change Control and GMP requirements
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Warehouse, Finance, Customer Service, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and communicate supply chain metrics, risk visibility, root-cause analyses, and recommendations
  • Lead or support continuous-improvement initiatives
  • Provide functional guidance, coaching, and planning expertise to less-experienced team members
  • Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, and supply chain procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties

Job description
