Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4+ years' experience with minimum 1 year SAP and forklift operations required.
• Valid driver’s license required; Forklift certification required; DG/DOT/IATA/IMDG certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP and experience with material handling equipment.
• Able to maintain neat, accurate records and logs, manually or electronically.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and physical tasks in shipping, receiving, storing, staging and supplying materials to operators and distribution centres.
• May prepare goods for shipment to the distribution centre and handle goods receipts.
• Complete SAP training to obtain necessary profiles and access.
• Load and offload deliveries; perform bin transfers and locate materials in SAP.
• Run material staging in SAP and manage inventory levels in PSA systems.

Job Description:

Performs physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Responsible for cycle counting activities. Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Must have forklift certification. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines. Oversees domestic and non-domestic receiving and shipping responsibilities. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with material/warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

• Performs administrative and physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, staging and supplying materials (raw, work-in-process and finished goods), parts and supplies, to operators, workstations and distribution centre
• May prepare goods for shipment to the distribution centre
• Complete all necessary SAP Training to obtain the necessary profiles
• May be responsible for ordering required materials from outside vendors and offload all deliveries from outside vendors and do goods receipts for the deliveries
• Physically locate the materials in the warehouse and then perform transactions in SAP to locate them in the system
• Do bin to bin transfers for all moves from the warehouse to the PSA's
• Hand load carts/racks equipment and deliver to production areas
• Run Material Staging in SAP
• Evaluate all production schedules and determine materials needed from outside vendors
• Maintain required levels of materials in the various PSA's
• Is knowledgeable of receiving and/ou distribution functions, familiar with computer warehousing system and may be required to use UPS systems
• May be responsible for conducting cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories
• Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving under little/no supervision
• Provides support to lead and/or supervisor when necessary
• May provide training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures
• May provide support on special projects
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Must follow all Client housekeeping policies and procedures
• Must follow all Client safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet Client business requirements
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• High school with 4 years' experience with minimum 1 year SAP and forklift operations required
• Previous work experience with the use of material handling equipment (pallet jacket, forklift, shrink wrapper)
• Valid driver's license required
• Forklift Certification required
• Certification in Dangerous Goods (DG), including IATA, DOT DG, or IMDG
• Extensive knowledge of SAP required

• Ability to work on assignments that are manual and routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification
• Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department
• Must be able to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs, both manually and/or electronically on a personal computer
• Must be able to effectively manage frequent assignment changes

Proficient/Working Skills:

• Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
• Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of Windows environment is required
• Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment and be able to stand for long periods of time
