The position requires state-of-the-art procurement practices, adherence to federal purchasing procedures, and a capability to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; years of experience may substitute.
• Typically three years of procurement/contract administration experience.
• Experience with federal purchasing procedures or knowledge of commercial procurements.
• Experience in basic negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFPs and select vendors per policies.
• Respond to requisitions with vendor options and analysis.
• Identify terms and conditions for vendor agreements.
• Share procurement updates with stakeholders on status and changes.
• Review vendor performance and invoices; support approvals.
• Resolve issues with customers and vendors.
• Generate and negotiate change orders.
• Maintain approved vendor list and EPL/Denied Parties checks.
• Support proposal efforts as needed.
• Maintain procurement policies and documentation.
• Exhibit professional conduct in all communications.
• Assist team with core purchasing tasks under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
