Job summary

Holtec International's Procurement Specialist I supports sourcing, purchase orders, and supplier performance for the SMR-300 program in Camden, NJ onsite. This role targets an early-career professional who excels at detail, owns tasks, and seeks growth in a regulated, technically driven environment.

Responsibilities include RFQ through PO award, price analysis, coordinating with engineering and project controls, maintaining procurement trackers, and ensuring audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or a related role (internships/co-ops considered).
• Basic understanding of purchasing processes and supplier coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment.
• Must be eligible to work under U.S. federal code 10 CFR 810.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing and purchasing from RFQ through PO award, including proposals, bid reviews, and PO changes.
• Support supplier identification, competitive sourcing (RFQ/RFP), clarifications, and bid leveling.
• Prepare price comparisons and total‑cost analyses to support negotiations and award recommendations.
• Coordinate with engineering, project controls, and construction to confirm scope, specifications, and procurement strategy.
• Maintain procurement trackers (RFQs, awards, POs, suppliers) and support basic spend/commitment reporting.
• Keep procurement files and commercial documentation audit‑ready and aligned with quality requirements.
• Coordinate supplier quality, inspection, and documentation requirements during selection and PO placement.
