Job summary

Holtec International in Camden, NJ seeks a Supply Chain Engineer III to lead procurement excellence across nuclear-grade components, supplier qualification, and schedule discipline.

You will drive make/buy analyses, manage long-lead equipment, and coordinate with design engineering to translate requirements into supplier documentation, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles supporting large-scale industrial, EPC, or complex capital projects; nuclear or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines
  • Experience in nuclear power plant systems or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Familiarity with U.S. NRC regulation (preferred)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or advanced engineering degree (MS) (preferred)
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • SRO license or PWR operational experience (preferred)
  • Must be eligible to work under U.S. federal code 10 CFR 810.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing initiatives for critical SMR-300 components through competitive RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Lead technical discussions on cost estimation for complex manufactured components and bulk materials.
  • Lead development of schedules for long-lead nuclear equipment and supplier deliverables.
  • Lead in change impact assessments affecting suppliers and manufacturing scope.
  • Identify manufacturing, material availability, and capacity risks across the SMR supply chain.
  • Develop expediting dashboards and KPIs; provide accurate forecasts and concise status updates to project stakeholders.
  • Develop mitigation strategies for constrained nuclear-qualified suppliers.
  • Support localization and supplier development initiatives to expand nuclear-capable manufacturing capacity.

  • Collaborate with design engineering to translate technical requirements into procurement specifications and supplier documentation packages.
  • Review and validate supplier technical submittals, drawings, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and manufacturing procedures.
  • Analyze equipment required in nuclear plants and establish commercial grade dedication that complies with design, technical specification, and code requirements.
  • Reconcile equipment documentation to the ASME Code.
  • Determine technical procurement requirements using the plant design basis to maintain configuration control.

The Supply Chain Engineer III supports development of next-generation nuclear power systems while independently driving procurement excellence, supplier performance, and operational discipline. This position serves as a key lead technical authority across engineering and supply chain functions, ensuring that nuclear-grade components are sourced, qualified, and delivered with uncompromising precision. This individual operates as a trusted partner to engineering, a protector of quality standards, and a driver of execution in high-stakes, first-of-a-kind nuclear projects. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering results in environments where failure is not an option.

Location: Camden, NJ (Onsite)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Experience with international sourcing and logistics coordination.
  • Experience in supplier audits, inspections, or quality surveillance.

Compensation
  • Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $125,000.00 – $145,000.00
