Job summary

Staffmark in Broussard, LA is seeking a Purchasing and Procurement Specialist to lead daily purchasing for hospitality and operations, and to support a new accounting system rollout with MR/PO workflows.

You will source and negotiate with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and work with accounting to ensure proper coding and approvals. This role emphasizes cost efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of progressive purchasing or procurement experience.
• Hospitality, resort, or property management procurement experience preferred.
• Hands-on MR/PO workflows and vendor negotiations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily purchasing activities for hospitality and operations.
• Support the rollout of a new accounting system and MR/PO workflows.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers.
• Build strong vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with accounting for GL coding and invoice approvals.
• Monitor purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with inventory management and supply planning.
• Collaborate with operations and project teams on procurement needs.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to strategic procurement initiatives.
