Job summary

Workstrings International in Broussard, LA is seeking a Procurement Support Specialist to assist daily procurement operations, asset processing, inventory handling, and shipping/receiving activities.

You will operate forklifts and an overhead crane, perform dimensional checks, stamp assets, review paperwork, and follow QA/HSE policies. High school diploma or GED required; prior shop/warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, procurement support, material handling, shipping/receiving, or related industrial environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and overhead crane.
• Move tools and assets within the shop using a forklift and overhead crane.
• Transport tools to and from various workstations across the campus using a forklift.
• Use handheld power tools in support of asset processing activities.
• Perform inventory functions, measure and document bar stock length.
• Perform dimensional checks on assets.
• Steel-stamp and stencil assets as required.
• Review shipping and receiving paperwork for assets being received or loaded for shipment.
• Follow and adhere to QA and Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures.
